Jacques Manjarrez
Jacques Manjarrez is the founder and lead designer of Beta Games. A lifelong game enthusiast, storyteller, and artist, Jacques has been designing games long before he knew his times tables.
Before founding Beta Games, Jacques worked with acclaimed tabletop publishers Cryptozoic Entertainment and PUG, contributing to major releases including Adventure Time Card Wars and the DC Deck-Building Game series. His debut title, Lunch: The Game of Playground Politics, was acquired and published by Cryptozoic Entertainment following a successful Kickstarter campaign and is now available at retail.
As both a designer and illustrator, Jacques is passionate about creating games that combine strategic depth with story, humor, and meaningful player interaction.

Sam Schwartz
Sam is a co-founder of Beta Games and runs its day-to-day operations. Born and raised in LA, he's loved games since he was a kid.
He studied music and computer science in college, where he met Jacques. The two collaborated on a string of short films before teaming up years later to start Beta Games. Sam works as a software engineer by day, but outside of it he's usually out hiking, playing music, or running with the Koreatown Run Club.
